Wedding Vendors

After we booked the Torpedo Factory the race was on to get the rest of the vendors before the good ones were booked.

First we got proposals and met with several caterers.  Fortunately the cheapest one, Fusions Cuisine was also our favorite.  When we drove out to meet with them they had food ready for us to try during the first meet, which no one else did.  It didn't hurt that the food was amazing.  Anyone who knows us, knows that we love good food so that was important.

And from there it was the DJ, save the dates, the invitations, the cake, photographer, rehearsal dinner, hotel block, the flowers, it seemed never-ending.  If you are in the DC/NOVA/Maryland area I highly recommend at least meeting with these vendors.  I scoured wedding reviews before I went with any of them and I felt we got the best quality at the lowest prices.  Anyone I found with lower prices had questionable reviews.  Plus I really enjoyed working with each of them.

The one vendor I would strongly recommend to avoid is the Embassy Suites in Old Town.  The hotel itself was nice and it was right next to the Metro but if you are getting married in Old Town check out the Hampton Inn or one of the other sites.  I could write pages about the problems we had both before and during the wedding weekend but instead I will keep it short and simple...  you can do better.
